In April 2018 RCT council closed the Castle Ivor road bridge in Hopkinstown for the purpose of refurbishment. This £450,000 scheme was scheduled to last approximately six months. Following events cause by adverse weather the bridge will not be re-opened until September 2020 at the earliest. In view of the extended timescale for repair we ask RCT council to place a temporary footbridge at the site of the Castle Ivor bridge to reduce the suffering and inconvenience to local residents.
Ym mis Ebrill 2018 caeodd cyngor RhCT bont ffordd Castell Ivor yn Nhrehopcyn at ddibenion adnewyddu. Roedd y cynllun £ 450,000 hwn i fod i bara oddeutu chwe mis. Yn dilyn digwyddiadau a achoswyd gan dywydd garw, ni fydd y bont yn cael ei hailagor tan fis Medi 2020 ar y cynharaf.
Yn wyneb yr amserlen estynedig ar gyfer atgyweirio, gofynnwn i gyngor RhCT osod pont droed dros dro ar safle pont Castell Ivor i leihau dioddefaint ac anghyfleustra i drigolion lleol.
