Plaid Cymru today announce Heledd Fychan as candidate for Pontypridd Town ward.
Announcing her candidature Heledd said:
My name is Heledd and I’ll be standing for The Party of Wales in this year’s council elections.
I live on Hillside View with my family. Like many of you, I care about the future of Pontypridd and am fed up of seeing crucial services being cut. Both as a local school governor and a mother, I have seen first-hand the effect RCT cuts to education have made. Our children deserve better.
As a board member of the UK Museums Association, I have also campaigned against cuts to our Libraries, Museums and Arts Centres (such as the Muni). They tell the story of who we are and who we want to be and should not be seen as an easy target for cost saving.
