In April, maternity services at Cwm Taf Health Board were placed into special measures after an external review identified “serious failings” with “little evidence of effective clinical leadership at any level” and patient concerns not taken seriously. Following the publication of the independent report on maternity services Plaid Cymru led a debate in the Senedd calling on Labour Health Minister Vaughan Gething to resign for the failings.
