New Youth Club for Pontypridd
Councillor Heledd Fychan has welcomed the plans for a new Youth Club for Pontypridd. The Club will be based in the Cricket Pavilion in Ynysangharad Park.

Following a strong campaign which saw hundreds of people sign the petition calling for the reopening of Mill Street Post Office we are glad to say that it has now re-opened.

Plaid Cymru councillor for Pontypridd Town, Heledd Fychan said
Read more"The Post Office is a vital part of the town, providing crucial services and bringing many people into Pontypridd who then visit other shops and businesses.
"I have been in contact with the Post Office and have received assurances that they are committed to ensuring a Post Office remains in Pontypridd. They are already looking at alternative premises within the town, and are keen to find a temporary solution as quickly as possible before something more permanent can be found.
"I am also saddened by the closure of Dennis Pounder Travel, which will be a loss for Pontypridd."
Pontypridd Redevelopment Planning
On Thursday 9th September the proposed Taff Vale Development went before RCT's Planning Committee.
It got planning permission and although Plaid Cymru support the investment in Pontypridd, Heledd Fychan the Plaid Cymru Councillor for the Town spoke at the meeting to express some of the concerns of residents, so they are on record:
