A Message from Heledd Fychan during Volunteers Week:
[Transcription from video]
"This week is Volunteers Week and I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you so much to each and every one of you that volunteers in our community.
Just behind us here so many people were effected by the terrible floods in February and we saw the community at its best, with so many people volunteering to help their neighbours, to help people they had never met before.
I think that's something we need to celebrate this week, as well as, of course the volunteering that goes on all year round. Such as our Lower Graigwen and Upper Graigwen Neighbourhood Watches, Friends of Ynysangharad Park. and everything else.
Obviously there is a whole army of volunteers at the moment supporting neighbours, friends and people in their streets with the Covid19 restrictions. Thank you so much to each and every one of you."

Celebrating our Volunteers
This week is Volunteers Week and an opportunity to celebrate all our wonderful volunteers. To each and every one of you - thank you. Diolch o galon. Ponty wouldn’t be Ponty without all that you do. We have seen the community at its best during the floods and now the Covid-19 pandemic. Mae’n wythnos Gwirfoddolwyr wythnos yma a cyfle i ni ddweud diolch o galon i bawb sy’n gwirfoddoli yn ein cymuned. Fydda’i Pontypridd ddim chwarter cystal lle i fyw ynddo heb eich cyfraniad aruthrol. Hyd yn oed ar amseroedd anodd fel hyn, gyda’r coronafeirws a cyn hynny gyda’r llifogydd, mae ein cymuned wedi dod ynghyd i gefnogi’n gilydd. Diolch.Posted by Heledd Fychan Pontypridd on Monday, June 1, 2020
