Deiseb Meddygfa Ynysybwl Surgery Petition

Cadwch ein meddygfa ar agor

Keep our surgery open

bwl_surgery.PNG

We, who have signed this petition, call on Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to keep the Ynysybwl branch of Taff Vale Practice open.

Closure would have a huge impact on patients, who are already struggling to secure appointments.

Many patients do not own cars and can currently walk to the Ynysybwl branch. The lack of adequate bus services already results in patients missing vital GP and hospital appointments elsewhere.

For older patients, or those who may be less mobile, going by bus to Glyncoch, Rhydyfelin or Dewi Sant involves catching two buses. This will only lead to more missed appointments or people choosing not to seek treatment.

Please listen to our views, and keep the Ynysybwl branch open.

Rydym ni, sydd wedi llofnodi’r ddeiseb hon, yn galw ar Fwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Cwm Taf Morgannwg i gadw cangen Ynysybwl o Feddygfa Cwm Taf ar agor.

Byddai cau yn cael effaith enfawr ar gleifion, sydd eisoes yn ei chael yn anodd sicrhau apwyntiadau.

Nid yw llawer o gleifion yn berchen ar geir a gallant gerdded i gangen Ynysybwl ar hyn o bryd. Mae diffyg gwasanaethau bws digonol eisoes yn golygu bod cleifion yn colli apwyntiadau hanfodol gyda meddygon teulu ac ysbytai mewn mannau eraill.

Ar gyfer cleifion hŷn, neu’r rhai sydd efallai’n llai symudol, mae mynd ar fws i Glyncoch, Rhydyfelin neu Dewi Sant yn golygu dal dau fws. Bydd hyn ond yn arwain at golli mwy o apwyntiadau neu bobl yn dewis peidio cael triniaeth.

Plîs gwrandewch arnom, a chadwch gangen Ynysybwl ar agor

They are community Doctors and therefore should be serving the community! Many elderly people do not have cars and on top of a poor bus service, the elderly would suffer greatly!

In Taff Vale Practice mission statement, they say that their aim is to see patients near to their homes.

worked for this practice for 18 years it was never a problem lovely place to work and Drs were wonderful with patients and staff think it’s disgusting that thinking of closing what about old people living on their own and not well how do you expect them to get to surgery out of the village whoever recommends this closer what would they say if it was their family this was happening to and if the board decides to let them close this surgery hope they can sleep at night knowing what they are doing to our village thank god we got Amanda and Paula in our corner

getting older is hard enough, to travel 5 miles on a bus if you’re unwell and frail would be unbearable, there be older people suffering in their homes and more pressure on the ambulance services, which is stretched to breaking point as it is .

if our nhs was funded better the surgery’s would be supported to stay open we pay enough tax’s to fund these essential practices ,greed of the government are destroying everything that we’ve all worked to get

Continual cost cutting will not improve services.

As our elderly residents increase, why make it far more difficult to get an appointment, let alone travel to attend.

Will without doubt , heap more misery on the general public .

The closure of this surgery will impact greatly on those unable to travel or don’t have access to transport. It’s a vital service for the community & it’s closure will have a detrimental effect on patients, especially those with chronic health conditions.

Even though I don’t live in the village anymore this is a vital service for many especially the elderly.
