The closure of Mill Street Post Office has meant that in order to access the services that were offered in the Town Centre residents are now required to make a trip to one of the sub-postoffices in the surrounding area.  This has a potential knock on effect of fewer people going to the Town Centre which would result in reduced trade for other shops and businesses based there.  Not least, it also leads to inconvenience for Post Office customers.

Mae cau Swyddfa Post Stryd y Felin wedi golygu bod rhaid i drigolion fynd tu-hwnt i'r dref er mwyn cael mynediad at wasanaethau oedd ar gael yno. Mae yna botensial y caiff hyn effaith ar y nifer o bobl yn mynd fewn i dref Pontypridd, gan felly effeithio ar bobl yn cefnogi siopau a busnesau eraill. Mae hefyd yn anghyfleus iawn i gwsmeriaid Swyddfa'r Post.
